Qaqsoss naka Wahantuhsis Trailer (Fox & The Tiny Demon)
Qaqsoss naka Wahuntsis (Fox and the Tiny Demon) is an animated story about Fox who is tortured by a tiny demon, as well as her own inner demons. Fox escapes a pack of vicious wolves only to find herself deep in a dark forest full of horrific monsters and danger. She must fight to survive. A tiny demon stalks her from a distance at first, then begins to torture her. She follows him to his own hell where he fights his own giant demon every night. The tiny Demon becomes Fox’s only friend, but also remains her enemy. She follows him to hell again and helps him fight his demon. Fox is further pushed into her own hell and must face her inner demons to survive. In the end we are never truly alone.
The story is an allegory to living with a person with mental disabilities, while having your own mental disabilities. It is directly linked to my own personal experiences but is also relatable to many Indigenous people today who are suffering the results of the residential school system.
